I am an indian but have lived in Jakarta, Indonesia for almost my whole life. I must have liked it when I first landed and have thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this vibrant city for about 18 years. When I was young, one of the major differences between India and Jakarta that I cherished was how more city-like and posh it looked. When I moved in, I saw more malls, wider roads, cars and tall buildings and I thought living in Jakarta will be very comfortable and fun when I just moved in. I wouldn't call development because in many ways, India is more developed. Of course, at an young age, I was not as knowledgeable.

The main argument of this picture of jakarta is that people in jakarta can become rich busy entrepreneurs who can enjoy the rich city life. The audience is tourists and foreigners who might look for business opportunities in jakarta. This picture uses pathos because the lights immediately connect with ones emotions and sparks the idea of a rich comfortable light. The context that many should be familiar with is the development in other south east asian countries for comparison between jakarta. It would also be beneficial to know that the corruption in Jakarta will help the rich to become richer, raising the inequality between the rich and the poor.
