I am an indian but have lived in Jakarta, Indonesia for almost my whole life. I must have liked it when I first landed and have thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this vibrant city for about 18 years. When I was young, one of the major differences between India and Jakarta that I cherished was how more city-like and posh it looked. When I moved in, I saw more malls, wider roads, cars and tall buildings and I thought living in Jakarta will be very comfortable and fun when I just moved in. I wouldn't call development because in many ways, India is more developed. Of course, at an young age, I was not as knowledgeable.
